How long can I keep the skip for?

Our skip hire period is flexible , so you can keep the skip for short or long periods to suit you! The maximum hire period is for 3 weeks , however we can sometimes extend this (at no extra cost) , just contact us and we will be more than happy to help.

What time will the skip be delivered?

Our skips are delivered between 7am - 5pm. If you require an AM / PM delivery we will always try to accommodate this , however sometimes we get delays which is why we cannot guarantee times. We will call you prior to delivery so that you know the skip is on the way. We always advise that if you are starting your project early , then book for delivery the day before.

Can the skip be placed on the road?

Yes! We can arrange for a skip permit with the local council to place the skip on the road. Skip permits cost an additional £65 on top of the hire price.
Permits last from 2 weeks to 1 month (depending on area) so if you require additional skips in this period you will not need to pay for an extra permit.
We require 3 working days to obtain permits from the council , so bear this in mind when ordering.

How wide does my drive need to be to fit the skip on?

As long as a car can get on the drive then we can get a skip on. If you require the skip to be placed far back on the drive then we will require 9 foot width. If you do not have 9 foot width we can still get the skip on your drive but it will be placed at the front.

Can the skip be placed on on a garden / over a fence / wall / hedge?

We can place skips over walls and fences into gardens. Our lorries can extend up to 6ft , so bear this in mind when ordering. If you are unsure just contact us and we can check this out for you.

Do your prices include VAT?

Yes! Our prices include everything , so when you order there are no extra charges to pay.

How do I arrange a Skip Collection?

To arrange for your skip to be collected contact us by phone 01623 272 880 , book online or email us skips@mansfieldskip.co.uk. It can take from 2-5 working days for a skip collection but we aim to get to you as soon as possible.
If you require a quick collection , pre-book your collection when you order , this eliminates delays.

How do I pay for the skip?

You can either pay by card over the phone or bank transfer. When you place your order we will give you the option on how to pay. If you choose to order online , someone can call you for a card payment or we can send you the bank details by email.

How high can I fill the skip?

Skips need to be level filled with the sides of the skip. Overfilled skips will not be collected because they are unsafe for our drivers to transport.

Do I need to be in when the skip is delivered/collected?

As long as we can gain access and have received payment in full , you do not need to be in when the skip is delivered or collected. If you have special instructions on where the skips needs to be placed , just let us know when you order.

What happens to the waste in the skips?
-
We operate our own licensed recycling centre as well as using third party licensed sites throughout Mansfield and Nottingham to dispose of your waste. The waste in your skip is segregated into recyclable materials and then sent off to recycling plants to be made into new products or energy plants to be turned into energy!

Do the skips come with a drop door?

Only the 8 yard skips are available with a drop door on request.
