What Skip Size do I need?
Choosing the right size skip can be difficult to pin point without seeing the exact amount. Our staff can advise you over the phone the best we can but we have some handy advice below to help you out. We always advise not to hire on price , ordering too small could mean there is not enough room so you're left with waste but ordering too large could mean you're paying for wastes space.
Our tips
4yd and 5yd Midi Skips
Hold between 40-55 black bags , this is roughly the same as 13 standard wheelie bins
The midi skips are perfect for Kitchen / Bathroom rip outs , small garden projects and clear outs of garages/shed/lofts
8 yard Builders Skips
Hold approx 70-80 black bags , this is roughly the same as 25 standard wheelie bins
The builders skips are perfect for bulky waste , large home DIY and Garden projects and house clearances.

The Skip Hire Ordering Process
Ordering a skip with us is easy , just follow these simple steps :
1) Find the right size of skip you require. If you need help with this feel free to contact us for advice
2) Order the skip online or call us on 01623 272 880
3) We will confirm your order either over the phone or by email
4) Pay for the skip before the delivery date. You can call us and pay by card over the phone or request the bank details to pay by transfer
5) The skip will be delivered on your chosen day between 8am and 5pm . Our drivers will call you on the way.
6) When you have filled the skip contact us by email , book online or call us to arrange Collection
7) Collections normally take between 2-5 working days. If you know when you will be done with the skip or have an important date for it to removed by , we always advise pre-booking the collection
On Road Skip Hire
We can place skips on road if you do not have a driveway or do not want the skip placing on your drive.
The total cost of an on road skip permit is £65 on top of your skip price. Permits last between 2-4 weeks (depending on area) , therefore if you require additional skips in that timeframe you do not need another permit.
We will require at least 3 workings days notice to get the council permit approved.
Just let us know at the time of ordering that you require a skip on the road.
Wastes which can and cannot go in the skip
IMPORTANT : As of Monday 20th February , we are no longer able to take any Domestic Upholstered seating or Mattresses within our skips. This is down to Government Changes which came into force recently.

General guidance to make your skip hire run smoothly
- Please let us know if there is restricted access or restricted access times.
- We require 10ft width to fit our lorries on driveways. We can lift skips over walls/fences/hedges at a height of 4ft. Skips can also be placed on gardens. Small vehicles can be sent out if your access is tight , please contact us and we can advise you better.
- Paying for the skip can be done by card over the phone or bank transfer. Unfortunately we cannot deliver skips until payment has been made.
- We cannot give times for skip deliveries , just incase there are issues our end. Therefore if you need the skip for a certain date we always advise booking the delivery the day before.
- When your skip arrives , please leave it where it is. Our vehicles may struggles to access the skip if it has been moved.
- We cannot accept skips which are filled above the sides. Please ensure you do not overfill the skip because we cannot collect or exchange skips that are.
